The Graduate Program in Applied Physics (PPGFA / UFRPE), invites everyone to participate in the SPECIAL COLLOQUIUM with Professor Giulio Casati, which will discuss: The correspondence principle, chaos and finite time dynamics.

This seminar is part of the "Seminars in Applied Physics" discipline. We hope to see you all there. TUESDAY, 11/12/2024 at 2:00 p.m., LOCATION: Auditorium of the Physics Department, Center for Undergraduate Studies in Exact and Natural Sciences (CEGEN).

Giulio Casati (born December 10, 1942) is Professor Emeritus of Theoretical Physics at the University of Insubria. Casati is known for his work on chaos, both classical and quantum, and is considered one of the pioneers of the latter. Casati is also known for the discovery of the phenomenon of quantum dynamical localization, which highlighted the relevance of chaos in quantum mechanics.
